Wondering
what the difference is between duplication and replication?
CD
duplication refers to the process of burning a CD-R, similar to
the way one can burn CDs on a computer, but with a quality direct-to-disc
print rather than a store-bought label that can get stuck in a CD
player. (We've seen that happen, folks and it ain't pretty.) Duplication
is ideal for quick turnaround times and smaller budgets.
CD
replication refers to the manufacturing process that starts with
raw materials to manufacture your discs from scratch. This is exactly
how the the majors press up their CDs. CD replication offers a longer
turnaround time, but better price-points. |
